Interesting ways to Display Plants – Small Space Living

Last Monday I bought you a post here  about plants and our wellbeing. Today, I thought I’d bring you some interesting ways to display plants in small living spaces.

When you think of plants, we tend to think of the standard circular ceramic or terracotta pot, but there are some fun and innovative ways to incorporate plants into our spaces.

Satsuma Planter by Ikea

This space saving,  Satsuma planter from Ikea is perfect when space is tight by using the advantage of the vertical it takes up a small amount of space on a worktop or floor.

Boskke Cube

This Boskee cube is ideal for those of you with busy lifestyles. This self-watering planter only needs to be watered once a month! I love the design as they have deconstructed the traditional plant pot, revealing the soil, roots and water level through its transparent form. Great for watching a plant develop and grow with its root system.

Copper Living Wall Art Planter by London Garden Trading

These wall planters are on trend with the metallic finishes and when planted with succulents, as shown, are low maintenance and easy to care for. I love that the form of these planters creates a framework  to the plants creating a living piece of artwork to your walls. Their size is also an advantage if your living spaces are on the small side.

Sky Planter Recycled

When I was growing up, our family home was filled with plants.  Back then my mum had a number of spider plants in hanging macrame pots when she ran out of surface space. Technologies today have moved on and these modern-day, albeit upside down, Sky Planters are  innovative as well as being eco-friendly. Made from recycled plastic, the new Sky Planter Recycled range are very slightly off-white with tiny flecks of coloured plastic in the body. A float-stick indicates the water level and two fixed-length hanging wires come included with each planter. For the keen urban gardener, this range is the perfect solution to get that ceiling garden started.

Each Sky Planter Recycled product uses Slo-flo irrigation technology.
