An Alternative Kitchen Splashback – Kitchen Wallpaper by Lime Lace

June 20, 2017

If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll have probably gathered that I like to find alternatives to more traditional interior elements. As we’ve looked at bathrooms and bedrooms before, I thought we’d head back to the kitchen. Afterall, we were there on Friday looking at A Perfect Modern Family Dining Table . And I just so happened to have discovered an amazing Kitchen Wallpaper by Lime Lace. It’s a perfect alternative to tiling splashbacks due to its innovative qualities.

An Alternative Kitchen Splashback – Kitchen Wallpaper by Lime Lace

I can hear you all right now saying how can wallpaper be practical in a kitchen let alone as a splashback. But then, of course, this isn’t just any old wallpaper. No siree, it happens to be water-resistant and heat-resistant (B1 and M2 certified), which makes it rather special. You can even use it behind your oven/hob.

BUDGET CONSCIOUS

If you’re just starting out and don’t have the time, ability or cash then this wallpaper offers you the ability to instantly update your kitchen for very little outlay. Reasonably priced at £110 a roll, with free delivery, it’s a lot cheaper and less messy than tiling.

I’m also thinking of those who may be looking to sell and don’t want to spend too much to do so. Afterall, everyone’s tastes are different and whoever buys your property will change the decor anyhow to suit their own. Although they might think twice about changing this wallpaper!

PERFECT FOR RENTALS

As more and more of us are finding ourselves in rental accommodation, the restrictions landlords impose prevent most of us injecting personality into your homes. With tiling completely out of the question,  this wallpaper offers you the ability to update without compromise. It’s easily removed by unpeeling it from your wall and can even be reused again if you want.

EASY TO MAINTAIN

Lime Laces Wallpaper splashbacks are easily cleaned using warm water and a cloth. So any grime such as grease or sauce should disappear without too much effort.

ECO UV RESISTANT

If your kitchen spaces receive a lot of natural light than traditional wallpaper has the propensity to fade where the sunlight hits. However, with Lime Laces Unbreakable wallpaper is UV resistant,  providing an element of longevity to it.

DESIGN CHOICES

I counted 36 designs to choose from on their website including latest trends such as marble and metallics and this fab Moroccan design above.

NOT JUST FOR KITCHENS

Of course, you could use this wallpaper anywhere you’d like to add a little impact. I’m loving how the bathroom above has been transformed and there’s no fear of it getting it wet.  Or maybe try a living space like below where they’ve created a feature out of the fire stove.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Provided on a roll and comes with special glue to hold it in place.
  • Size of roll 60cm H x 300 cm W (If you’re looking at larger dimensions for your kitchen design, then Lime Lace are happy to accommodate).
  • Best used on smooth backgrounds
  • Can be applied to existing tiles (although best choose darker or patterned Lime Lace kitchen splashback wallpaper to prevent show through)
  • Easy to remove – peel back and stick down again

On a final note……

Keeping an open mind when it comes to sourcing for your homes, and searching for alternatives can be a game changer. Your homes will not only look great, be more interesting, but they’ll also show your individuality and personality. With so many innovative and creative designs becoming readily available to us all, it’s an exciting journey to be taken.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by!!
