Shopping online has become mainstream for many of us including buying for our homes. It’s also meant that the web has become a place of discovery where we’re able to find new and wonderful companies that offer you something different from the usual High Street sameness. Companies like family run Idyll Home who have put thought and care into the collections they have to offer. Ensuring that your homes remain as individualistic as you are and not something out of a catalogue or lookbook.
Idyll Home – Shop Love
Idyll Home’s mission is a simple one, to provide you with modern beautiful home accessories and furnishings that stand out from the crowd and are easy on the pocket. It’s definitely my kind of way to shop and one that I hope you’ll love too!
And you needn’t just take my word for it either as they’ve been featured several times by the likes of Living Etc, House Beautiful, Elle Decoration and other mainstream interior magazines. They are definitely one to watch as they continue to grow and provide you with the latest in interiors.
Idyll Home Style
I’m in love with their choice of products available. Their collections are made up of designs that won’t necessarily date so you’ll be adding longevity as well as creating a home that looks great. Idyll Home offers a fusion of styles that actually work well together. From Nordic style furniture to glamorous Moroccan lighting, their website has it all. Of course, it’s down to you whether you like to mix things up or keep things simple.
Pared back and minimal, Idyll Home’s homewares are perfect for creating a home that’s relaxed and forgiving rather than high-end luxe that costs a fortune and where you’d be frightened to use or let the kids run free for fear of the inevitable accidents. That’s not to say they’ve skimped on quality either. Each and every design on offer has been handpicked to ensure you receive the highest quality that you’d expect and want. Idyll Home only sources high-quality products that they’d be happy to have in their own homes which definitely gives you peace of mind when shopping online.
Idyll Home Collections
Whilst their collections are easy on the eye they also offer your spaces interest with textural qualities, subtle patterns and neutral colours that would work with any decor.
Idyll Home is also one of the UK’s largest online stockist of trusted brands such as House Doctor and other Danish companies Bloomingville and Tine K Home. This combination of modern and vintage home accessories are at the heart of Idyll Home’s style. They want you to love them as much as they do. Living by the saying “A thing of beauty, is a joy forever.” Needlesstosay, this is something that they are passionate about and want you to feel the same when buying for your homes.
I’ve picked a few of my favourites from their site that will hopefully offer you some inspiration for your homes. Ready…
Home Accessories
As someone who likes to surround themselves with decorative elements that refer to mother nature, I have to say that this cushion is a massive hit with me. Wonderful textural detail is offered from its hand embroidered with green glass beads on a bed of ivory glass beads. It has a tactile quality to it that you won’t be able to resist. It would look wonderful paired with contrasting textures such as velvet or linen. It’s also very reasonably priced at £35 for such adornment.
You can’t beat pure new wool for its warmth, hardwearing and environmental qualities, particularly when made into beautiful throws. Perfect for cosying up with all year round, especially when the sun goes down, these fringed herringbone throws from Tweedmill are woven from pure new wool in the UK. Available in a range of simple organic shades with a brightly coloured twist. Price: £52
I love a bit of multifunctionality, especially when combined with good looks. This simple space-saving mirror sits flush to the wall and has a useful shelf to boot. Use it for decorative purposes for displaying your latest home accessories such as a vase or plant or if surface space is scarce (bathrooms are a prime example) the shelf allows you to place day-to-day objects that become easily accessible. Price £92
You can’t beat classic timeless white tableware. What I love about these pretty porcelain numbers from Idyll Home is that they offer a unique subtle mottled finish that’ll add interest to your dinner table and let your culinary skills shine.
The simple and earthy design means they would look great on a wooden table, whilst the flat design with simple lip also makes them a stylish, contemporary choice for a modern household. And because each piece is sold individually, if you do accidentally break one, you won’t find yourself having to buy a whole set to replace it! It’s also a great way to start a dinner service particularly if you’re just starting out and funds are tight. Just add to it as and when you can afford to. Price for dinner plate is £8.95

I like that they are easy to wipe down and can be hand washed. Price £57.50

I love the subtle pattern and textural qualities as well as its welcoming form where the back wraps around nicely to provide support and comfort. Perfect for taking five with a cuppa or something stronger don’t you think?
